Matt's Song

Here's Matt singing at church on the Thursday night before Easter. Someone caught him on a digital camera or something, and it came out pretty well, but the beginning is cut off.

Proud

He posted :)
I'm so proud of him.

Thank you Matthew-Face!

Even though today had its downside *cough* causing 100's of dollars worth of damage to my car *cough*, I'm in a silly mood, so here's a picture to illustrate how I feel, and how Matt is probably responding to it. They say a picture is worth a thousand words:

P.S. In case you were wondering about the leather whip: I do work in a party store which carries a few costume accessories all year around and a few friends and I were considering making a short film with Indiana Jones, hence the whip.

Tagged... Part 2

Ok, so apparently, I have to fill this out in order to keep Laura from attacking me... so... here ya go...

*She has a cat obsession
*She is hopelessly addicted to Smarties
*She likes to wrestle (which kinda unique for a girl)
*She had a leather whip under her bed, but moved it to her closet
*She is dating a psychopath named Matt Stevens
*She goes to college and is always overtaxed with huge amounts of homework
*And she works at I-Party... (Do I need to say more?)

there ya go...
Happy now?

Fender Bender

Stinky.

I rear ended someone. Smooth move, Laura.

His car = untouched. Which is good, there is no insurance involved, no police, he just drove off without a scratch.

My car = front bumper falling off. It'll only take a few screws and a new light bulb for my blinker (hopefully THAT'S why my blinker's not working) but my dad is estimating the quick fix to be about $100, and the cost to replace my cracked bumper about $500. Ouch.

Tagged

Okay, so Amanda (http://doldrumsandecstasies.blogspot.com/) tagged me.
I'm not going to tag anyone else, but I will answer the 7 wierd/random facts, with a twist. Instead of answering them about myself, I think of 7 random facts I know about Matt! And hopefully if he feels so inclined he will do the same for me in a later post.

*He can touch his nose with his tongue
*He's a gamer. Addicted majorly.
*Matthew finds it hilarious to answer every question with "Chicken Teriaki"
*(uh oh, runnin' out) He's spent YEARS (like over 6) playing the piano, but for some odd reason changed to drums about a year ago and has barely touched the piano since *:-(*
*Matt likes to work on computers
*I'm on 6... He... is ADDICTED to starbucks, specifically the white mocha with cream :-)
*He has a hampster named Fuzzy-Lumpkins. CraZy!

Ok Matt! Go for it!!!

Brilliant

Okay,

I just set up this blog so that there are two different contributors so you the readers don't have to be confused about whether it's Matt writing or myself. However, since the "Matt & Laura" from before was used on Matt's account, all of the previous posts will say they are written by him. All are written by me unless signed otherwise.

So yeah.

Now you know.

Kinda Sorta Bummed

I'm totally excited that I get to see Bekah in a few hours (I can hardly sit through class)

but I'm kinda sorta bummed that my camera hasn't come back yet. I brought it in to Best Buy to get it fixed, but it's still not back yet so I can't take any pictures of my mini-vacation :-\

I feel so clever!

Look at the new header!!

Isn't it neat?!

I'm so proud of myself, I'm borderline conceited.

: )

One more day!

I think I was going to write about something.. Oh yeah *changes title of blog*.

Just one more day until my vacation! Well, semi vacation. I asked a couple of days off of work so I could see Bekah this weekend when she's visiting, and I've had to pack a week load of activities into three days (I believe I already mentioned this). Well its Wednesday and I only have one more day to go! This week hasn't been nearly as exhausting as it sounds, as when I'm at work and in class things are pretty laid back, and so they aren't exhausting activities. The fact that I don't have a lot of time to sleep has left me tired, but it isn't unmanageable.

This past weekend Matt and I did nothing. Again. He slept through most of it, and so I spent quite a bit of time with Karen, who lovingly has nicknamed me Kip.
If you read her blog, I am Kip, Laura, and Lou. Possibly Laura Lou, although she doesn't always call me that. And occasionally fatty.

P.S. Thanks to Amanda and Amanda for commenting on my Amanda blog! I wasn't sure which Amanda the first post was from until I read the second one. I knew it wasn't Amanda, but thought it could have been Amanda or Amanda. Luckily, the situation is under control.

Amanda everywhere!!

I[we] have three blogs linked to my[our] blog that are written by Amanda's.

I found that funny, because I got an e-mail saying "Amanda has posted a comment on your blog..." and I thought, "hmm, I wonder if that's Amanda or Amanda..." Lo and behold, it was not Amanda or Amanda, but Amanda!

And these are only 3 of about 10 Amanda's I know.

Stressed!!

I know, a lot of people aren't a fan of blogs because a lot of people tend to vent on them, and I try to keep stuff on the blog positive. But I'm really stressed! For those of you who don't know, I'm planning on getting my associates in accounting at the end of 2008, but there were a couple classes that I couldn't take until Spring 09 because of scheduling. I Did find a way to get those classes in, but I found out that I needed to start taking the class 2 DAYS before it was to start! I registered 10 minutes before taking the class, and bought an $80 book online to avoid paying $150 at the bookstore. However, he assigned homework, and my book hasn't arrived yet! Thank God, my accounting teacher for another class had the book and wasn't using it, so she's letting me borrow it until mine arrives! Yay!

And due to the snow, I've missed at least one day in each of my classes, and the week after week off has put me into a "vacation" mode: I haven't been studying nearly enough. I'm getting the worst grades of my life, and I'm going to have to get 90's and 95's in the rest of my tests in order to reach my goals. I have so much homework, and I have hardly any time to do it! I'm cramming a week+ worth of homework in 5 classes in to Friday, because its the only day I have. I will be doing some in SB this weekend, but after I get back I work Monday night, Tuesday morning, have class Tuesday evening, work Wednesday morning, have 2 classes Wednesday evening, class again Thursday morning, and then I leave for South Berwick again, so I HAVE to get it done before I leave this weekend. Luckily, after that I have a week off and hopefully I'll be able to get some major projects started.

I'd like to think that this will end once school is over, but I keep hearing in my mind: Welcome to the rest of your life.

I guess I gotta get used to busy and stressed! There could be much much worse things to have to get used to. Well I write all this as if you actually want to read it, but whatever, here you go. ; )

-Laura

P.S. I didn't mean any of this to be complaining. I'm very happy with my life and I'm thankful for what I have, and that I found a way to graduate by 2009, and that I have a book to study with! I just feel so rushed.

Lazy Days

Matt and I did just about nothing this weekend. It was GREAT! :)

Let me just tell everyone on here that there is a Kutless Concert right at Noble High School! If you want to go, Matt needs to know immediately! It's a ways away, 4/26, but the seats are going fast and Matt needs to get the tickets by 3/17. Theres a ton more info on the GenChrist.org event page, so go there because I don't feel like repeating myself.

Chronology

Note: This is one of those posts that has nothing to do with Matt.

I noticed that there are a lot of songs that remind me of a certain someone, and that if put in a certain order they create a chronology of events and our relationship.

You and Me - Lifehouse
God Only Knows - Joy Williams
If You Ever Need Me, You Know Where to Find Me - Matthew West
She Walked Away - BarlowGirl

The titles say just about everything, but if you feel compelled you can look up the lyrics, and I don't think I could better describe the events than those lyrics. (The first song might need some explaining, but the rest is pretty obvious)

Pep Party

SOOOO this week I [Laura] went down to where Matt lives in order to attend a surprise party for the Pepster! He was totally surprised! Happy Birthday/Welcome home/Congratulations on your Basic Training Graduation Pepin! Matt had just worked the night before (all weekend in fact) and so he was sleeping most of the time, but luckily I have lots of people to keep me busy while he's napping.

Oh. I got to meet Fuzzy Lumpkins, a.k.a. Sophie to some. She's cute, and I bought her a little clear ball to walk around inside of. She loves it. I also got to bond with Pepin's gerbils, especially Marly. Imagine my (and everyone's) surprise that when Pepin was showing off his new apartment there was no sign of Marly in the cage. The search begun! I found him behind a folding table, and then a bunch of grown women, + Pepin were chasing this little gerbil! Finally we got him trapped and I caught him and saved the day! Well, saved the gerbil at least.

Matt got a new book, he's currently reading a series by Ted Dekker. I just started the first book, "Black," which he just finished. Matt is now on "Red," and will then move on to "White." The first 2 chapters of the book are crazy weird so far, I must admit.

In other news, I bought this aluminum water bottle. It's kinda pricey, but I'm sure it must be SO much better than reusing Poland Springs water bottles. With all this stuff about plastic being hazardous, I figured it was worth the investment. I also would like to warn anyone who cares that Nalgene water bottles have recently been found to leach chemicals into the water, and could be dangerous with regular use. I'd post a picture of my water bottle, but I can't find the exact design online, and as you must already know by my previous post, my camera is bye-bye. Hence the lack of imagery in this post.

well. Tis all!

Oh No!

My camera is broken. I've had it for 6 months.

Luckily, I talked myself into getting a warranty. Yay!
